Dedicated on the 7 August 1992

This monument is a tribute to those Americans and their allies
who participated in the Guadalcanal Campaign from 7 August 1942 to
9 Feburary 1943. It especially honors those Soldiers, Saliors,
which led to the liberation of the Solomon Islands.

This remeberance was erected through the joint efforts of the
Guadalcanal-Solomon Islands War Memorial Foundation (U.S.A)
and the American Battle Monumnets Commision.

May this memorial endure the ravages of time until the wind,
rain and tropical storms wear away it's faces but never it's memories.
